Position Overview:
We are currently seeking an Adult/Family Nurse Practitioner to fill an opening with a multi-specialty practice located in Queens, New York. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive primary care services to a diverse patient population in a collaborative and supportive outpatient setting.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Active New York State Nurse Practitioner license. Must be Board Certified.
  • Experience: Strongly preferred 1 year of experience (but still open to new grads).
  • Language: Must be bilingual in Bengali or have relevant experience supporting Bengali-speaking or comparable communities.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in performing physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and utilizing electronic health records.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong clinical judgment, empathy, patient-centered focus, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform comprehensive physical examinations and patient observations.
  • Record and analyze patients' medical histories and symptoms.
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, and contribute to existing ones.
  • Order, administer, and analyze diagnostic tests and laboratory results.
  • Diagnose acute and chronic health issues and prescribe appropriate treatments and medications.
  • Monitor and operate medical equipment as needed.
  • Detect changes in patients' health and modify treatment plans accordingly.
  • Consult with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals within the multi-specialty practice.
  • Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, treatment options, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation in electronic medical records.
