We are currently seeking an Adult/Family Nurse Practitioner to fill an opening with a multi-specialty practice located in the Bronx, New York. Qualifications:
- Education: Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Licensure: Active New York State Nurse Practitioner license. Must be Board Certified.
- Experience: Strongly preferred 1 year of experience (but still open to new grads).
- Language: Must be bilingual in Bengali or have relevant experience supporting Bengali-speaking or comparable communities.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in performing physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and utilizing electronic health records.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong clinical judgment, empathy, patient-centered focus, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations and patient observations.
- Record and analyze patients' medical histories and symptoms.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, and contribute to existing ones.
- Order, administer, and analyze diagnostic tests and laboratory results.
- Diagnose acute and chronic health issues and prescribe appropriate treatments and medications.
- Monitor and operate medical equipment as needed.
- Detect changes in patients' health and modify treatment plans accordingly.
- Consult with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals within the multi-specialty practice.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, treatment options, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation in electronic medical records.
