Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Nurse Manager to join our team at a mission-driven non-profit network of Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) in New York. In this role, you'll support the Nurse Manager in overseeing clinical operations, ensuring high-quality patient care, and fostering a collaborative environment that prioritizes healthcare access for underserved communities.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Active NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license; valid Infection Control Certificate, BCLS, and Child Abuse Certification.
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience (FQHC or community health settings a plus).
- Proficiency in EHR systems, supply chain management, and clinical workflow optimization.
- Leadership, problem-solving, and team collaboration skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement patient care activities alongside the Nurse Manager and healthcare team.
- Assist in evaluating the quality and effectiveness of nursing care and recommend improvements to the Nurse Manager.
- Monitor selection and use of unit supplies, technology, and equipment.
- Keep unit staff informed of medical center developments and participate in patient care area planning and problem-solving.
- Conduct and facilitate leadership and care team meetings, drive meeting outcomes, and maintain minutes.
- Coordinate ER referrals.
- Record, report, and interpret patient responses and collaborate with the Family Practice health team
- Stay current with nursing policies and standards and implement them.
- Participate in the department's performance improvement activities.
- Assume the Nurse Manager's responsibilities in their absence, including hiring, termination, and employee evaluations.
