Position Overview:
We are seeking a Dentist to join our team at a community health center in Zachary, LA. In this role, you'll provide preventive and primary dental care to center patients, consistent with your training and experience.

Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited dental school.
- Unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the State of Louisiana.
- Current CPR certification.
- Louisiana CDS and DEA registration required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); EMR experience preferred.
- Able to communicate in English, verbally and in writing.
- Attention to detail, project orientation, ability to multitask and manage competing priorities, and sound judgment and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Examine patients requesting care, diagnose dental conditions, and prescribe and carry out (or direct others in carrying out) appropriate dental treatment, or refer patients for specialty consultation or treatment in conformance with approved clinical protocols and guidelines.
- Record patient-dentist transactions accurately and completely in the dental record, and complete referrals and other required paperwork.
- Educate patients on health-related conditions and the promotion of oral health and disease prevention.
- Assist with continuing education, on-the-job training, and orientation of community health center staff as requested.
- Maintain and update skills and knowledge through continuing education.
- Ensure personal and professional compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, and center rules and regulations governing the practice of dentistry and the provision of dental care, including personnel, workplace safety, public health, and confidentiality.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Dental Director or as necessary to achieve organizational goals.
