We are seeking a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our team at a multi-specialty practice in Queens, NY. In this role, you'll provide compassionate, evidence-based mental health counseling to patients in a collaborative care setting.

Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited program
- Active New York State license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
- New graduates are welcome to apply
- Bilingual in Russian (required)
- Proficient in conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, applying evidence-based modalities (CBT, DBT, MI, etc.), and maintaining electronic health records
- Strong active listening and empathy, excellent verbal and written communication, cultural competence, patience, a nonjudgmental attitude, and the ability to collaborate with other providers
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, including clinical interviews, psychosocial histories, and mental status examinations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, diagnoses, and goals
- Provide individual, family, and/or group therapy using evidence-based modalities appropriate for the patient population
- Diagnose mental health disorders per DSM-5 criteria and coordinate care with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, primary care physicians, and other providers
- Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, coping strategies, treatment options, and community resources
- Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely clinical documentation in electronic health records, in compliance with regulatory and ethical standards
- Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and provide crisis intervention when appropriate
- Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and quality improvement initiatives
- Stay current with best practices, continuing education, and licensure renewal obligations
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and New York State regulations
