Position Overview:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) shall provide dedicated 1:1 nursing services to assigned students with documented medical needs during the school day and related school activities.

Qualifications:
- Job qualifications & certifications:
- Active and unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in North Carolina.
- CPR and BLS certification.
- Experience providing pediatric or school-based nursing care preferred.
- Ability to meet background check and credentialing requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct 1:1 nursing care to assigned students during the school day and transportation.
- Follow physician-ordered treatment plans and medical plans of care.
- Perform skilled nursing tasks, including, but not limited to:
- Medication administration.
- G-tube care and feedings.
- Tracheostomy care.
- Vital sign monitoring and assessment.
- Monitor student health status and respond to medical needs and emergencies.
- Maintain daily nursing documentation, including shift start/end times.
- Complete and verify timesheets accurately.
- Communicate effectively with families, school staff, and the nursing agency.
- Notify the agency promptly of absences or service gaps.
- Adhere to NC Board of Nursing Practice Act standards and ethical guidelines.
- Participate in required supervision and skills validation.
- Maintain active licensure, certifications, and compliance documentation.
- Support continuity of care and student safety across school settings.
