Mammography Technologist – East Brunswick, NJ

Location: East Brunswick, NJ
Employment Type: Full-time
Pay: $40 – $45/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM; rotating Saturdays (with a comp day off during the week)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a full-time Mammography Technologist to join our imaging team at a radiology group in East Brunswick, NJ. In this role, you'll perform X-ray and mammography exams while maintaining MQSA standards and supporting radiologists in a fast-paced environment. This position calls for an experienced professional.

Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • ARRT(R)(M) required; NJ State License and CPR certification required
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Mammography Technologist
  • Working knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to the procedures performed
  • Familiarity with procedure protocols needed to assist the radiologist in all exams
  • Ability to maintain the required number of mammograms and CMEs per MQSA standards
  • Knowledge of the application and location of department supply items
  • Able to lift and position patients as needed for proper placement on the exam table
  • Willingness to complete all mandatory in-service classes annually and assist in training staff
  • Able to adhere to all department and facility safety protocols, including when working in or near areas with specialized imaging equipment


Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain all diagnostic equipment to perform X-ray and mammography exams
  • Apply knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to the procedures performed
  • Maintain procedure protocols to assist the radiologist in all exams
  • Maintain the required number of mammograms and CMEs per MQSA standards
  • Know the application and location of supply items in the department
  • Lift and properly position patients onto the examination table as needed
  • Complete all mandatory in-service classes annually
  • Assist in training staff as needed
  • Adhere to all department and facility safety protocols when working with specialized imaging equipment
