Medical Assistant - AZ (#R10279)
Location: Assignment-based (Arizona clinic locations and surrounding areas, as applicable)
Employment Type: Contract / As needed.
Hourly Rate: $20 per hour
Position Overview:
Perform administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of a physician. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding information; clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed.

Qualifications:
- Job qualifications & certifications:
- Medical Assistant training/experience as required by client facility.
- BLS/CPR as required by the client facility (if applicable).
- Outpatient clinic and EHR experience preferred.
- This position is subject to all client and solicitation requirements, including verification of licensure, background screening, immunization compliance, and completion of facility onboarding prior to assignment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for examinations/procedures; obtain and record vitals and histories.
- Perform administrative support tasks (scheduling, basic registration support) as assigned.
- Maintain medical records and support EHR data entry per clinic workflow.
- Assist clinicians during patient visits; rooming and turnover of exam rooms.
- Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy or medication administration only when trained and directed per clinic policy.
- Maintain supplies and follow safety/infection control procedures.
