Qualifications:,
- Education: MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school. Completion of an accredited residency program in Neurology.
- Licensure: Must have an active New York State medical license. Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology.
- Experience: New graduates are welcome to apply.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in (Electronic Medical Record) / EHR (Electronic Health Record eClinicalWorks & Practice Fusion. Proficient in performing neurological examinations, interpreting diagnostic studies (EEG, EMG, MRI, CT), and managing treatment plans for various neurological conditions.
- Soft Skills: Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, empathy, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive neurological evaluations, including patient histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic neurological conditions such as epilepsy, stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, migraines, neuropathy, and dementia.
- Order, interpret, and analyze diagnostic studies including EEG, EMG, nerve conduction studies, MRI, and CT scans.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management, lifestyle modifications, and referrals for physical or occupational therapy.
- Educate patients and families on neurological conditions, treatment options, disease progression, and preventive measures.
- Collaborate with other specialists within the multi-specialty practice (e.g., primary care, cardiology, endocrinology) to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation in electronic medical records.
- Stay current with advancements in neurology research, treatments, and technologies to enhance patient care delivery.
