Neurologist – Brooklyn, NY

Location: Brooklyn, NY
Employment Type: Full-time or Part-time (minimum 16 hours/week, weekdays)
Pay: $180/hour (open to negotiation depending on experience)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Neurologist to join our team at a multi-specialty practice in Brooklyn, NY that provides an integrative standard of care. In this role, you'll diagnose and treat patients with neurological disorders in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications:
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school and completion of an accredited residency program in Neurology
  • Active New York State medical license; Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology
  • New graduates are welcome to apply
  • Proficient with EHR systems (eClinicalWorks and Practice Fusion)
  • Proficient in performing neurological examinations, interpreting diagnostic studies (EEG, EMG, MRI, CT), and managing treatment plans for various neurological conditions
  • Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, empathy, attention to detail, and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive neurological evaluations, including patient histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic neurological conditions such as epilepsy, stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, migraines, neuropathy, and dementia
  • Order, interpret, and analyze diagnostic studies including EEG, EMG, nerve conduction studies, MRI, and CT scans
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management, lifestyle modifications, and referrals for physical or occupational therapy
  • Educate patients and families on neurological conditions, treatment options, disease progression, and preventive measures
  • Collaborate with other specialists within the practice (e.g., primary care, cardiology, endocrinology) to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation in electronic medical records
  • Stay current with advancements in neurology research, treatments, and technologies
