Position Overview:
Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking an Occupational Therapist to fill an opening with a community-based nonprofit facility located in Mountain View, California. This role focuses on providing person-centered care to participants in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications:
- Education: Graduated from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
Licensure:
- Must have a current California state license as a Registered Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Must have a valid California Driver's license, a clean driving record, appropriate insurance, and a reliable vehicle
- Experience: Open to new graduates.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in conducting in-home evaluations, activities of daily living (ADL) assessments, home safety evaluations, and using universal precautions.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, compassion, patience, ability to work within a multidisciplinary team, and strong organizational skills.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to cater to tasks with physical demands (lift, transfer, push/pull, maneuver, reposition, etc.). Ability to safely move upwards of 35 pounds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop person-centered care plans for incoming and active participants.
- Serve as a member of the Multidisciplinary Team and assist with carrying out the Team's plan of care.
- Provide Activities of Daily Living (ADL) care to participants as needed, including grooming, dressing, hygiene, and body mechanics training.
- Train staff on proper ADL techniques and body mechanics.
- Conduct in-home evaluations, as appropriate, for home safety considerations and recommendations.
- Demonstrate safe practices by utilizing proper body mechanics, adhering to universal precautions, and maintaining environmental safety.
- Contribute to a welcoming environment, assisting participants as needed.
- Supervise participants throughout the Center to ensure their safety, proper care, and comfort.
- Attend all staff meetings, trainings, and in-services.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
