Position Overview:
We are seeking a Physician Assistant specializing in Urology to join an Article 28 facility located in Brooklyn, New York. This role focuses on providing specialized urological care to patients in a collaborative outpatient setting.

Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- New York State PA license; Board Certified as a PA.
- Urology experience preferred, ideally at least 1 year.
- Must be credentialed with Medicaid.
- Bilingual in Spanish.
- Proficient in urological assessments, diagnostic testing, medication management, and electronic health records.
- Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, empathy, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with urologists and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive urological assessments, including patient histories, physical examinations, and focused urologic evaluations.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic urological conditions such as urinary tract infections, kidney stones, prostate disorders, bladder issues, and incontinence.
- Order, interpret, and analyze diagnostic tests including urinalysis, imaging studies (ultrasound, CT), and urodynamic studies.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and lifestyle modifications.
- Prescribe medications as appropriate, including antibiotics, alpha-blockers, and anticholinergics.
- Educate patients and families on urological conditions, treatment options, preventive care, and post-treatment follow-up.
- Collaborate with urologists, primary care physicians, and other specialists to ensure coordinated, whole-person care.
- Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely documentation in electronic medical records.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and team meetings as appropriate.
- Stay current with advancements in urology through continuing education and collaboration with supervising physicians.
