Position Overview
We are seeking a Primary Care Physician to join our team at a network of federally qualified community health centers (FQHCs) in the Bronx, NY. In this role, you'll provide comprehensive primary care to a diverse and underserved patient population within a mission-driven community health setting.

Qualifications:
- MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school and completion of an accredited residency program.
- Active state medical license; Board Certified.
- Understanding of and passion for community healthcare preferred.
- Proficient in medical examinations, ordering/interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and EHRs.
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, empathy, cultural competence, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Examine and test patients to assess medical conditions.
- Analyze records, reports, and test results to diagnose patients.
- Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, and vaccinations to treat or prevent illness.
- Explain procedures and discuss results and treatments with patients.
- Collect, record, and maintain patient information.
- Refer patients to specialists when necessary; submit progress reports to the CMO.
- Advise patients and the community on diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow federal/state and organizational regulations.
- Plan and administer health programs and standards.
- Attend monthly/quarterly medical staff and education meetings.
- See patients irrespective of condition/diagnosis.
- Provide 24-hour on-call service on a rotating weekly basis.
- Obtain and maintain admitting privileges at affiliated hospitals.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
