Qualifications:
- Active New York State RN License.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in utilization review, claims adjudication, medical review, fraud investigation, surveillance, or monitoring activities.
- OR 3 years of clinical or administrative experience.
- OR Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing + 2 years experience.
- At least 1 year of survey experience required.
- SMQT Certification preferred (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct nursing home surveys and complaint investigations.
- Evaluate compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Document findings and prepare Statements of Deficiencies (SOD).
- Assess Plans of Correction and ensure compliance.
- Enter and manage data in state and federal systems.
- Participate in hearings and regulatory meetings.
- Travel to assigned facilities.
