Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join the Inpatient Pediatrics unit at a premier academic medical center. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, family-centered care to pediatric patients in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Licensure: Current New York State RN License and BLS Certification (must be current or able to recertify).
  • Experience: 
    • Minimum 1.5 years of recent acute care RN experience (within the past 2 years) in a facility of similar size and level.
    • Strong pediatric inpatient experience is strongly preferred.
    • Travelers considered only if experienced in hospitals of equal or greater size or trauma centers.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with EPIC EMR is preferred.
  • Soft Skills: Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a high-stakes, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients, administer medications, and treatments.
  • Monitor patient conditions, develop and implement patient care plans, and collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Educate patients and families, and maintain accurate electronic health records.
