Position Overview:
The School Clinic Substitute Medical Assistant supports school clinic operations by providing basic clinical and administrative assistance under the direction of school administrators and district nursing leadership. This role supports continuity of student health services in the absence of the school nurse.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Valid Medical Assistant credential or certification from an accredited program required.
  • Licensure: Current CPR certification required.
  • Other requirements:
    • Completed fingerprint-based background check.
    • Completion of CCSD clinic substitute orientation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with student intake and basic health needs.
  • Take and record vital signs as appropriate.
  • Support medication administration under supervision and district protocols.
  • Maintain accurate documentation using CCSD forms.
  • Assist with clinic organization and infection control practices.
  • Maintain student confidentiality and professional conduct.
