Qualifications:
- Education: Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Licensure: Active New York State Physical Therapist license.
- Experience: Must have at least 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in developing and implementing treatment plans, therapeutic exercise programs, manual therapy techniques, and utilizing electronic medical records.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, compassion, patience, and the ability to motivate patients. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical history review, functional assessments, and range of motion testing.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient goals and clinical findings.
- Provide therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and patient education.
- Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and document outcomes in accordance with practice standards.
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, injury prevention, and lifestyle modifications to support long-term recovery.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals within the multispecialty practice to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
