Position Overview:

Deliver specialized nursing care in a fast-paced ambulatory surgical setting, focusing on burn, trauma, and general surgery patients. Join a collaborative team committed to excellence in outpatient care.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
Experience: Outpatient oncology experience with the administration of chemotherapy is preferred.

hQualifications:

Education: ADN/BSN from an accredited program
Licensure: Active NY RN License
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience (within the past 2 years) in an acute care facility of comparable size and level as Hospital.
- Must have experience in ambulatory, oncology or surgical settings.
- Travel nurses must have experience in hospitals of equal or larger size or trauma centers.
Technical Skills:
- BLS certification required; must be able to maintain/renew certification as needed.
- EPIC EMR proficiency (preferred)
Soft Skills:
- Patient education expertise
- Team collaboration in high-volume settings

Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive care for surgical/trauma patients
Educate patients/families on post-procedure care
Coordinate with surgical teams for seamless care transitions
Maintain accurate EPIC documentation
Adhere to infection control protocols in specialty areas
