Position Overview:
Deliver specialized emergency care to pediatric patients at an Acute Care/Academic Medical Center in Syracuse. This high-acuity role requires expertise in pediatric emergency medicine within a dedicated trauma center environment.

Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (RN).
- Licensure: Active NY State RN License; Current BLS & PALS and ACLS preferred.
- Experience:
- 2+ years of recent high-acuity Pediatric ER experience.
- Experience in an Adult Emergency Department is a plus, but not required.
- Candidates with experience limited to combined Adult/Pediatric Emergency Departments will not be considered.
- Level 1/2 Trauma Center experience strongly preferred.
- Technical Skills: EMR proficiency (EPIC experience preferred).
- Soft Skills: Superior clinical assessment, critical thinking, and rapid decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Triage and stabilize pediatric emergencies.
- Manage high-acuity cases in fast-paced trauma settings.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary trauma teams.
- Administer specialized pediatric interventions.
- Document care using the EPIC EMR system.
- Provide family-centered crisis support.
- Maintain readiness for pediatric resuscitation events.
